Into the Depths

Into the Depths

Into the Depths is based off the look of a depth map for the ocean.
This was also my first light-reactive giclée print.
Learning to play with the way your eyes catch color
and adjust the way it computes those frequencies, was a great find.
I hope you get to see this in person one day, nothing quite like it.

Into the Depths-

HOW TO SEE THIS ARTWORK PROPERLY:

1.     Tap on the full view of design, to see it as big as it gets on your screen.

2.    Let your eyes adjust to the darkness for 20 seconds.
I know this may seem odd at first, however to play with your cones (used for scotopic vision)
and rods (used for your photopic vision
in your retina, you must prepare them properly in order to
play with your mesopic vision (the use of both rods and cones).

3.    As your eyes adjust, notice the colors of separation. This is called chromatic aberration

4.    Take a trip, Into the Depths.

Those that purchase prints of this with also receive a free pair of viewing lenses.
If you have them, slip on your “Chroma-Depth” lenses and REALLY see Into the depths.
